What do I need to do to get in?
At 42 Wolfsburg we believe that talent and potential should be the only criteria for admission, not academic qualifications. That’s why you don’t need any diplomas or prior coding experience to join our program. All you need is motivation and a desire to learn within our community.
Our program is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is passionate about software engineering and committed to working hard to achieve their goals.
Why is the program tuition-free?
We believe that talent and potential should be the only criteria for admission, not financial resources. Our program is completely free for all students, thanks to funding from industry players of all sizes. This allows us to provide a high-quality education in software engineering without any financial obligations before, during, or after your studies.
Crucially, our graduates are not required to work for our partner companies. We’re committed to providing a high-quality education that prepares our graduates for success in their careers, and we believe that our model of talent-based admission and no financial obligations is the best way to achieve this goal.
Can I study at 42 Wolfsburg remotely?
All Piscines and the main curriculum take place exclusively on-site on our campus in Wolfsburg. Our immersive and collaborative learning environment is designed to support your growth as a software engineer. Also, the peer-learning approach works best for everybody involved if the students see each other in person regularly. You’ll learn and collaborate with a diverse group of students, all with different backgrounds and experiences.
While we don’t offer remote learning options anymore, we invite you to join us on our LearningSpaceShip in Wolfsburg and be part of the coolest community of software engineers you’ll ever find. Our dedicated Relocation Office is always here to assist you with your move to Wolfsburg.
Do you offer support with VISA and relocation?
While we’d love to welcome students from all around the world, we want to be upfront: 42 Wolfsburg is not officially accredited, which means we’re unable to assist with visa-related matters. This could make it challenging for non-EU applicants to secure a visa to study with us.
If you’re exploring other options within the 42 Network, there are campuses across the globe that might better suit your visa needs. You can check out a full list of 42 schools here: 42 Network Schools.
As for accommodation, we do offer assistance with finding housing, depending on availability. If you have any questions about living in Wolfsburg, our special accommodation offers, or just how to get started, feel free to reach out to our colleaague Eeva at studentsupport@42wolfsburg.de.
